²³ Furthermore, the former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from remaining in office. ²⁴ However, Jesus holds a perpetual priesthood because he remains forever. ²⁵ Therefore, he has the full power to save those who approach God through him, since he lives forever to intercede for them.
